Air Pollution Control
Our Air Pollution Control business combines the resources of FMC with the assets and expertise of Natronx Technologies, LLC, a joint venture created by FMC, Church & Dwight Co., Inc. and TATA Chemicals (Soda Ash) Partners. Through Natronx and our own in-house team, we offer proven and proprietary technologies that deliver substantial savings over conventional high-capital cost technologies for SOx and NOx abatement. We specialize in both the utility and industrial sectors—and more specifically in fossil-fired generation plants.
With adoption of stricter emissions regulations, fossil-fired generation plants are forced to comply with a slew of new standards and deadlines while finding a way to remain economically viable. Our portfolio of unique, safe, effective and field-proven technologies delivers comprehensive compliance solutions that minimize costs, reduce capital investment and streamline operations.
Featuring technology exclusively licensed from NASA, FMC’s PerNOxide™ provides a simple, low-cost and environmentally-friendly way for the power industry to effectively reduce NOx. The technology can be implemented on an as-needed basis, utilizing existing ducts, simple spray application and inexpensive to operate chemistry. This approach allows industrial and utility boilers to achieve significant levels of NOx reduction without the large capital investment or ongoing maintenance costs typically associated with selective catalytic reduction (SCR).
FMC offers unparalleled supply reliability as well as a full complement of technical services to support the safe and efficient use of our products. We work collaboratively with consultants, engineers, site owners, regulators and the academic community using our Total Confidence Model™. Customized to the unique needs and profile of each project, our approach is proven to deliver value in the five key areas of the solutions lifecycle—expertise, strategy, materials, safety and stewardship.
